Origami Anteater

I built this model for school project. It was a fresh challenge for me because I had to balance between the smooth and hard edges to translate the feeling of origami paper.

Ani130B - Fall 2014

I decided to dust off my blog. I was super busy with internship and worked almost full-time during summer. New semester means more dedication into making art and projects. I think I came a long way from the first 3d model which is making a flare gun. Now I understand more about Maya and Zbrush. Also, Mudbox is considered a good pick up.

This is my first pass for Magik (Darkchild) from X-men series Art by one of my favorite comic artist, Skottie Young. I try to stay away from generic anatomy and focus on the art style of the artist. Learning to translate 2D language without compromise it is extremely hard. There will be different versions coming soon as I will tackle some issues.

Megara

Category: Digital Art

A really late update. This is the final version of Megara, character in Hercules (Disney). I've learned so much from this project, so you can expect to see more models in the future.
Life lesson: never export HD version of your model from ZBrush to Maya. You life will become miserable.

Megara - WIP

Category: Digital Art

Having a blast working on Megara from Hercules. Tackling those unusual anatomy from this character is both exciting and frustrating...yet I think it is worth it.

12.12.12

Category: Digital Art

A gun model to mark this "special day" 12/12/12. Hope this will be a good start for what I want to do in the future. Work with Maya and Photoshop.
